The IEP-Hoerbiger EVN 3.0H explosion relief valve is designed for hygiene-critical dust explosion applications. It features an automatic re-closing mechanism for post-explosion sealing, EHEDG compliance for hygiene standards, and optimized CIP cleaning. The valve is versatile, compatible with various dust properties, and operates reliably across a broad temperature range.

  • Automatic re-closing venting device for overpressure events
  • Chamfered shape and gap-free construction for CIP cleaning
  • Equipped with flame arrester to prevent flame transmission
  • Valve plate closes immediately after pressure venting
  • Designed for various dust groups with KSt max 300 bar * m/s and Predmax max 2.0 bar overpressure
  • Operating temperatures: T= 120°C (EPDM gasket), T= 180°C (SILICONE gasket)
  • Surrounding temperature range: -20°C to 80°C
  • Maximum protected vessel volume with a single valve: 1.60 to 6.00 m³

EVN 3.0HNC

The IEP-Hoerbiger 3.0H NC is designed for hygiene-critical environments and shares similarities with the EVN 3.0H model. It features a manual re-closing mechanism that keeps the valve open after activation until intentionally reset. This allows for safety checks and assessments post-explosion. The 3.0H NC is compatible with various dust groups and effectively prevents flame transmission outside of the device, making it an essential safety component in explosion mitigation systems.

The valves have a quick response due to their standard opening pressure and are equipped with an opening detection system for enhanced safety monitoring. Constructed mainly from durable coated carbon steel, they offer robustness and can be customized with alternative materials for unique environments. The EVN 2.0 series prioritizes easy installation, low maintenance requirements, and operational versatility in all mounting positions. It effectively prevents flame escape and unwanted air inrush, ensuring absolute tightness after reclosing.

  • Certified in compliance with EN 16009 standards for safety.
  • Geometric relief area ranges from 499 cm² to 3905 cm², accommodating various valve sizes from 266EVN 2.0 to 735EVN 2.0.
  • Opening pressure standard at 0.05 bar ± 20%.
  • Components usually made from carbon steel with a coating, with special materials available upon request.
  • Each valve includes an opening detection system as a standard feature.
  • NC version is for non reclosing to combine with flap valves as explosion isolation barriers
