Graphite Rupture Discs – Bursting Discs

FDC – Graphite Rupture Discs – Bursting Discs

These rupture discs are produced by FDC, who have over 25 years of experience in this highly competitive international market. Their products can be specified to product standards including KS B ISO 4126, KOSHA, ASME Code Section VIII, API RP520, and the ISO-9001:2008 quality system.

Ksrgm

KSRGM (mono block)

· Made from a single piece of graphite which is impregnated with phenolic resin
· Easy to install and maintain
· Install directly between standard flange without holders
· Excellent corrosion resistance
· Favourable for low and intermediate burst ratings
· Counterboard side of the disc contacts the process media
· In case of vacuum condition, vacuum supports are available for ratings below 25 psig
· Insulated Units are supplied armoured with required insulation and gaskets for service above 221℃ to 371℃
· Armour is required for temperatures above 170℃

Ksrgi

KSRGI (Inverted)

· Made from a single piece of graphite which is impregnated with phenolic resin
· Easy to install and maintain
· Install directly between standard flange without holders
· Excellent corrosion resistance
· Favourable for higher burst ratings
· Flat surface of the disc contacts the process media
· Armour is required for temperatures above 170℃
· TFE liner is available to extend corrosion resistance

Ksrgd

KSRGD (double acting)

· Made from a single piece of graphite which is impregnated with phenolic resin
· Easy to install and maintain
· Install directly between standard flange without holders
· Excellent corrosion resistance
· Setting two different pressures in the opposite directions (Double Acting Type)
· Optional liner is available to extend corrosion resistance
· Armour is required for temperatures above 170℃

MARSTON – Graphite Rupture Discs – Bursting Discs

Gr

GR Graphite Discs

A flat graphite disc, impregnated with a high quality resin, giving good corrosion resistance and low bursting pressures. The unique GR arrangement is designed to protect the disc from the effects of flange bolt loading. This disc fragments on rupture. This disc is thin in construction and designed to operate with its interaction with its holder. Vacuum resistance is available with a special metal dial in the holder. The disc should be operated to 80% of its minimum burst pressure in static conditions and up 50% in cyclic conditions to maximise its service life.

Monobloc

Monobloc Graphite Discs

A flat graphite disc, impregnated with a high quality resin, giving good corrosion resistance and low bursting pressures. This disc does not require a dedicated holder, and fragments on rupture. Vacuum resistance is possible with an additional dial (bar type) or dial type support on its underside. This disc shall be operated to 80 of its minimum burst pressure in static conditions or 50% in cyclic conditions to maximise its service life.

Grb

GRB Graphite Reverse Buckling Disc Assemblies

A unique disc manufactured from pure graphite powder. It is suitable for high temperatures and extremely low bursting pressures. This disc will fragment on rupture.
